Play therapy for children

Child-Centered Therapy That Helps Kids Feel Safe and Grow

Supporting children with big emotions, anxiety, attention challenges, and everyday struggles—through play, connection, and understanding

How therapy helps....

Therapy is where understanding turns into change. It gives children the space, support, and strategies to:

  • Learn to manage anxiety and big emotions

  • Build confidence and self-regulation

  • Strengthen social skills and relationships

  • Practice skills in ways that fit daily life

For young children, therapy is play-based, developmentally grounded, and child-centered. The child leads, and we follow—helping them move at the pace that feels safe and productive.

Who benefits

I work exclusively with children and families, with a focus on early and middle childhood. Therapy is particularly helpful for children experiencing:

  • Anxiety or worry

  • Big emotions and intense reactions

  • Attention or regulation challenges

  • Social or school-related stress

  • Early signs of learning differences

How therapy works (no surprises)

First call: We talk briefly to understand your child’s needs and explain current availability.

Initial intake (60–90 min): All primary caregivers attend. Your child joins us first, then can play while adults provide background.

Therapy sessions: I guide each session through careful observation, reflection, and play to help children explore feelings and build skills.

Parent sessions: Every 5th session is a required parent session. This gives parents space to review progress, ask questions, and receive guidance on supporting their child at home.

Progress review: Ongoing collaboration ensures parents have clarity, practical strategies, and insight into their child’s growth.
